Safety precautions for three-phase electricity meters

1. The three-phase watt-hour meter can be installed and used after being inspected and qualified before leaving the factory. If it is found that it is a lead-free or expired watt-hour meter, please ask the relevant department to re-calibrate before installing and using it to ensure accurate measurement of electricity.

2. When the electric energy meter is taken out of the original packing box, it is found that the inner packaging or outer casing is damaged. Do not install or power on the electric energy meter, please contact the technical service department of the product company.

3. Install the watt-hour meter indoors. Choose a dry and ventilated place. The bottom plate of the watt-hour meter should be installed on a wall that is sturdy and fire-resistant and not susceptible to moisture and vibration. The installation height of the watt-hour meter is recommended to be about 1.8m. The table should be vertical and not slanted.

4. When installing the watt-hour meter, install the specified phase sequence (positive sequence) and the correct wiring diagram for wiring. The wires connected to the junction box should be fixed tightly to avoid the bad contact of the joints and the burning of the junction box.

5. When using the watt-hour meter in areas with more thunderstorms, it is necessary to take lightning protection measures at the installation site.

6. In places where there is pollution and may damage the mechanism, the electric energy meter should be installed in the protection cabinet.

7. The load used by the three-phase watt-hour meter should be within 5%~150% of the rated load. For example, a 50A watt-hour meter can be used within the range of 2~75A.

8. An experienced electrician or professional is required to install the electric energy meter, and make sure to read the installation manual.
